I'm back with another concept today.<br />
<br />
Washington Capitals<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpkNsamw5h4mWeXgGgGA0zbBgHNK414voB4i4E1su52Vo2dRltfhS0RZiNzj9z21PxoXjAFJfjIITQ2viYKjYhBtMdfEtlP_WznoyXi5artj_VTibgDzaD3yrkQA77RtttChECU6bZ07is/s1600/Capitals_JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="568" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpkNsamw5h4mWeXgGgGA0zbBgHNK414voB4i4E1su52Vo2dRltfhS0RZiNzj9z21PxoXjAFJfjIITQ2viYKjYhBtMdfEtlP_WznoyXi5artj_VTibgDzaD3yrkQA77RtttChECU6bZ07is/s640/Capitals_JustinCox.png" width="640" /> </a>The Washington Capitals are one team that are in need of a redesign and here's what I have in store for them.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- Design loosely based off of original uniforms. Thick stripes, but remove the small space in between. Add stars on shoulders and arms.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- Updated font.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- Bold design returning red/white/blue stars and stripes. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- USE THE WEAGLE LOGO AS THE PRIMARY.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So, what do you think of this Capitals redesign? Let me know! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here is my newest concept, one for the two California teams playing
under the stadium lights this next January. With the Ducks, I went with
the rumors and created a predominately orange jersey with some variation
of their 'Mighty Duck' oval logo. I also decided to base their jersey
off of the infamous 'Wild Wing' alternate. Despite the front design and
font, it's actually a great jersey, and I think it could be a great
look! For the Kings, I decided to tie a few era together. I stuck with
their current color scheme, and that of the Gretzky era, and used a
jersey design similar to that of the original Kings. However, the main
thing I wanted to do was use a logo they hadn't before. Not like this
anyways. I used the crown out of one of their old shield logos because, I
think it is very well executed and honestly looks better than their
other crown logos. I also wanted to do something else the Kings hadn't.
They've used every color in their arsenal as a base color except for
silver/grey. Now it may be a hard color to do so, but with the King's
scheme and identity, I think they could make it look great. After all,
this is Los Angeles, why couldn't there be an orange vs silver game?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So what do you think? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! </div>

How was everyone's weekend? I had the pleasure of attending the Colorado/Montreal game on Saturday to see my Avs improve with a 4-1 win over the Habs. It was great to see my all time favorite player/goalie JS Giguere in net and former great Patrick Roy behind the bench. But the highlight of the night was seeing former Av, Adam Foote's number retired. Any one else attending NHL games soon? In the meantime, I have another concept today for you.<br />
<br />
Dallas Stars<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggR5N3BLLvEZIuZVaeWmzVj0-ypoEaHsWlPNDXh2FMxmwrUaOxP1zXcJmXSs5gYcDEOcM8RQU547Z21phu6JZDkwMuSBhkYtfvPqPCi6WDvWoEC1_SqrSNLyIRPtMIJsG8TDRgjRSb7saf/s1600/DallasStars_JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="362" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggR5N3BLLvEZIuZVaeWmzVj0-ypoEaHsWlPNDXh2FMxmwrUaOxP1zXcJmXSs5gYcDEOcM8RQU547Z21phu6JZDkwMuSBhkYtfvPqPCi6WDvWoEC1_SqrSNLyIRPtMIJsG8TDRgjRSb7saf/s640/DallasStars_JustinCox.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The recent Dallas Stars uniform overhaul was a thing of beauty in my opinion, so any third jersey they introduce should be as well. Here's my concept and I had a few goals with this:<br />
<br />
1) Keep green the dominant color, while also introducing a little more black and silver.<br />
2) Turn one of the ugliest jerseys in history (mooterus) into a great one.<br />
3) Incorporate the Stars theme a little more.<br />
<br />
So what does everyone think of this concept? Love it, hate it? Let me know!Justinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10539370000783218788noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-991299406423573520.post-52971976774053930652013-10-27T07:13:00.001-07:002013-10-27T07:13:10.578-07:00New Culture in Colorado - Time for new uniformsHello readers everywhere! WOW. It sure feels good to be writing here again and feels fantastic to actually complete another concept. Over the past months there have been so many concept ideas and incompleted designs but work, school, and everything else just got in the way. But I am back, and even though it's been a while, I never left! In fact, I continue to check HJC, Icethetics, CCSL and your blogs every few days. So thank you for coming to check in and here's my next concept!<br />
<br />
Colorado Avalanche<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCppO14lFxGra8-BnCmGDG7H1j5DcBLeASrp4p7hjudvvz__Xny_zXnkcBcW5Y96ihhV3T3qvo9ZFSlIb5PzarKfIzWDtU_lKBS-o3zFrrkGK-CQqQdiAg0JoDNiOp4E35BRHfUI2mGI81/s1600/Avalanche_JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="577" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCppO14lFxGra8-BnCmGDG7H1j5DcBLeASrp4p7hjudvvz__Xny_zXnkcBcW5Y96ihhV3T3qvo9ZFSlIb5PzarKfIzWDtU_lKBS-o3zFrrkGK-CQqQdiAg0JoDNiOp4E35BRHfUI2mGI81/s640/Avalanche_JustinCox.png" width="640" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now you all probably know, the I'm a proud Colorad-an and I was born and raised here. So naturally you can assume I'm more than excited about the Avs current performance on the ice. There's a new culture with the Colorado Avalanche, and it's time for a new era. Our young group of guys is finally coming together, we have an exciting coach behind the bench, as well as some front office additions. It's all coming together. Next all we need, is a new look. The Avalanche probably have the worst uniforms in the league, which is such a shame considering we have such great logos and colors and used to have some of the best uniforms. So here are my main goals with the redesign.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- Get rid of the Reebok cookie cutter look.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- Bring back the mountain design in a new way.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- Eliminate black equipment, and use the color minimally.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- Create a unique identity for the Avalanche</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- Tie in Colorado somehow. (captains patch, hanger effect, and mountains.)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So what do you think of this possible look for the Avalanche?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for checking in and I'd love to hear your thoughts!</div>

<br />
Happy Friday everyone! As most of you may know I'm a huge Avalanche fan and was born and raised here in beautiful Colorado. We here in Colorado have a lot of pride in our state! It's almost impossible to walk down a busy street without finding someone with apparel on that has our red and yellow Colorado 'C.' In fact, some of this apparel, translated onto Avs logos, is some of the top selling merchandise. I myself have two or three items. Even our pro soccer team debuted a <a href="http://www.altitudeauthentics.com/popup.aspx?src=images/Product/large/3116.jpg" target="_blank">new third jersey</a> showing our state pride. Why not have the Avs do something similar? I wanted it to not only represent our great state but also past hockey here and within the franchise. The baby blue is obviously taken from the Quebec Nordiques and the jersey design is a very slight nod to these <a href="http://whauniforms.com/Images/Nordiques1.png" target="_blank">WHA jerseys.</a> Then the Colorado 'C' emblems are obviously taken from the state flag as well as the jerseys of the old Colorado Rockies. I just kind of ran with the rest of the design and really like how it turned out. This wouldn't be a bad upgrade for their current alternates. What do you think?Justinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10539370000783218788noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-991299406423573520.post-14844754930054595612013-03-26T19:41:00.004-07:002013-03-26T19:41:45.292-07:00Columbus Blue Jackets Re-BrandGood evening everyone! How is everyone on this fine Tuesday night? I'm settled in for the night. The Penguins just won there 13th in a row and I'm watching the Rangers/Flyers rivalry continue. What games are you all watching?<br />
<br />
Also, if you didn't notice I've updated the blog's look. I just wanted to update to a cleaner, more sleek and modern look. <br />
<br />
Anyways, onto today's concept!<br />
<br />
Columbus Blue Jackets<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYZACOPb773fRwYJsMLiRJMEVeFOi8yAKxxllpTsTGOBP54DRdhxth7o8OQ1PhcAk2txlOPBkmSkCwxoV9r8amsE5cSpOtCFWqp-XqVLS0UVljnwn92Xpl9GKm4ROeoIKokc1Puc1EOw_G/s1600/ColumbusRebrand_JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYZACOPb773fRwYJsMLiRJMEVeFOi8yAKxxllpTsTGOBP54DRdhxth7o8OQ1PhcAk2txlOPBkmSkCwxoV9r8amsE5cSpOtCFWqp-XqVLS0UVljnwn92Xpl9GKm4ROeoIKokc1Puc1EOw_G/s640/ColumbusRebrand_JustinCox.png" width="441" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I wanted to give the Blue Jackets a full rebrand! Starting with the logo. A star with a backwards Ohio flag? Creative, yes, but it doesn't really relate to their identity (other than the fact they're from Ohio) and and it doesn't work that well as a primary logo. The primary logo I used for my rebrand uses the head of a soldier. A "Blue Jacket." It's fierce and relates to the identity. The original logo was designed by a concept artist on SportDrawn.com. I took a screenshot and printed the logo a while back but unfortunately the post got deleted from SportDrawn so I didn't get the name of the artist. Here's the <a href="https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?ui=2&ik=b23d878ffa&view=att&th=13d8f61da4348bcf&attid=0.1&disp=inline&safe=1&zw" target="_blank">original logo</a>, though. The shoulder patches are two crossed cannons to further incorporate the military theme. The cannons are from the Boston Cannons lacrosse logo. For the jersey design I went with a more modern look while keeping it classic. I also went ahead and used the stripes from the Blue Jackets "stripes and sticks" concept logo. I thought it looked good as arm stripes and reflected a military patch that would be featured on a soldiers jacket. Then we go onto the alternate... I wanted to keep it much more simplistic. I removed red, kept classic simple striping, and the rest is pretty self explanatory. I apologize for the long description but I'll let the jerseys do the rest of the talking. </div>

Hello again everybody, and welcome to the Art of Hockey! New concept time... again! Let's dive right into it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Chicago Blackhawks</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
One of the most popular concepts is Blackhawks third jerseys. And most of the time they're retro inspired, black jerseys. This one is retro inspired, but I decided to ditch the black and go with a red jersey. I have always though that the vintage white and black looks phenomenal atop that Chicago red. That's just what I did here. My concept is largely inspired by two concepts. A retro concept by Avi S. and a Nike swift concept by Dylan W. Both artists placed a roundel logo atop two separate stripes rather than the large chest stripe or the plethor of stripes across the jersey. I then wanted to further incorporate the retro feeling by adding the tomahawk 'C' logo on the arm stripes like the Hawks jerseys from the late 50's. I would love to hear your thoughts and comments.</div>

It hardly seems like it with the new time change. As you all know, I'm a huge Avalanche fan. I was born and still live in Colorado, attend games regularly, and I'll always be an Avalanche fan at heart. In fact, just the other night I was in attendance to witness the Avs break the Blackhawks winning streak. It was such an awesome game to be at and such a great win for my boys in burgandy! But that burgandy uniform... it needs a change ASAP... that's where today's concept comes in!<br />
<br />
Colorado Avalanche<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi71F6Fgd8wt0_g6hEWJi_JjqJoFz5y5JROwjVLKgYZBNd5oLAMgMWNP0mbM5rBd1nFf2pWifALgGAnI5GTNkd3RHa-NO_d1ObYOxhTbXyMNeIuogVu_Rr7kBjSHe3JY0FvnJ3ZImb1C5uA/s1600/Colorado_JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="516" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi71F6Fgd8wt0_g6hEWJi_JjqJoFz5y5JROwjVLKgYZBNd5oLAMgMWNP0mbM5rBd1nFf2pWifALgGAnI5GTNkd3RHa-NO_d1ObYOxhTbXyMNeIuogVu_Rr7kBjSHe3JY0FvnJ3ZImb1C5uA/s640/Colorado_JustinCox.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Over time (although not in a long while) I've created tons of Avalanche concepts. The most popular one most people create, is a modern version of their old 'mountain' design. I had a few goals here:<br />
<ul>
<li>Bring back the mountains a new, more subtle way.</li>
<li>Eliminate black completely - (Except for the puck in the logo) </li>
<li>Create a design unique only to the Avalanche. </li>
</ul>
Overall I think it completes my main goals and would be a solid set for the Avs. What do you think?<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your Sunday evening! -Justin <br />

I've been starting to get back in the groove of things and making more concepts. Here is a New York Islanders concept.<br />
<br />

I think the Isles' move to Brooklyn in 2015 would be the perfect chance to update their identity. I created a more modern, sleek look here for them. I slightly updated their color palate and created a few new logos for them. The primary honors both their city and team by featuring the Brooklyn Bridge and a lighthouse. The alternate is a nod at the past, with the use of an update 'NY' logo. All in all, I really just wanted to update, and modernize their look. what do you think?Justinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10539370000783218788noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-991299406423573520.post-40190035434498055672013-02-20T19:35:00.001-08:002013-02-20T19:35:51.856-08:00Crazy Columbus Concept!Good evening everyone! It's snowing lots here in Colorado. Almost a foot on the ground! So I figured it'd be a good night to work on some concepts and just relax. I'm currently huddled by the fire waiting for my Avs to take on the Blues for a late game tonight in Denver. Hopefully Duchene won't get too offsides again! Haha! Anyways... onto a rather crazy concept tonight.<br />
<br />
Columbus Blue Jackets<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEji4jmv65cDZ0zWK83kjgLnNAsL1y-8YEY1z586ZfEIUmaOLGXxMPVkg_KJgIr0RnmPgRGt34BAWzifthCpWpykDoHXK1fkU3TXDmIKBfptFVRt5Hyx7TmFgFs9Uq40pSFLShCDGH6wjwYO/s1600/CBJ_JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="262" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEji4jmv65cDZ0zWK83kjgLnNAsL1y-8YEY1z586ZfEIUmaOLGXxMPVkg_KJgIr0RnmPgRGt34BAWzifthCpWpykDoHXK1fkU3TXDmIKBfptFVRt5Hyx7TmFgFs9Uq40pSFLShCDGH6wjwYO/s640/CBJ_JustinCox.png" width="640" /></a></div>
So ever since that <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZfBuvj_Cigau2cnZ4o2PCrCWkpX-wMpiBItEA5NI8_VItx9SWmlVSvCfBL1U8K3NJZ7RdtQmbeu02RUuTThEYWj7LNosQsPhvJGomTKBebGHvaULwz5axdLyeAP3RIwzVHXmkqNix2rIv/s1600/AviStein-CLM(FromVideo).png" target="_blank">Columbus concept logo</a> was leaked, I thought it would look cool as stripes on a jersey. Originally I was just going to use my version as arm stripes but I was messing around and tried it as a chest stripe and I kind of liked the way it looked. I know it's really unconventional but I think it could be a cool identity for the Blue Jackets. As an alternate of course. It could also work as a 'Military Appreciation Night' jersey, or something along those lines. I know it's way out of the box, but I'd love to hear your thoughts!<br />
<br />

Long time, no post. Things have been very busy and with hockey back, I haven't been making too many concepts. well I'm back with another one! Here's a concept for the St. Louis Blues. I'm not going to waste your time today with a description, so I'll let you take a look and let me know what you think!<br />
<br />

Wow! Sorry everyone for the lack of content. I've just been crazy busy with everything! But my finals are done with and now I've just got some down time to relax and enjoy this beautiful Colorado snow! Unfortunately still no hockey though. Let's get to the concept!<br />
<br />
Hershey Bears Outdoor Classic Concept<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixsiizOnwzLs76162zylvbThG41FJ9LP10TCXQ1H5GY08RxdT55oS3rGtZFT2BdrphyphenhyphenZPVGgZKVek3QxH7YQPGcsV-jDTBeH26KUN0qOCKVACbqPxZ1OyWY8RZPkvGU2oAbcqLwcYOXxhY/s1600/HersheyBears_JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixsiizOnwzLs76162zylvbThG41FJ9LP10TCXQ1H5GY08RxdT55oS3rGtZFT2BdrphyphenhyphenZPVGgZKVek3QxH7YQPGcsV-jDTBeH26KUN0qOCKVACbqPxZ1OyWY8RZPkvGU2oAbcqLwcYOXxhY/s640/HersheyBears_JustinCox.png" width="640" /></a></div>
Hershey's new look is absolutely gorgeous! I love their logos and always love a brown color scheme. I really thought that their Outdoor Classic jersey would be a cream colored jersey but they rolled <a href="http://l.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/1yO2ri9iv9iRhkv.zRS3tA--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7cT04NQ--/http://media.zenfs.com/en/blogs/sptusnhlexperts/11984050-large.jpg" target="_blank">this</a> out instead. Here's my idea. A cream jerseys (considering it's actually in their color plate!) with chocolate brown accents and equipment. I wanted to keep the whole design very simplistic, clean, and classic. Not much more to say, but I think the Bears would look really great in some uni's like these. I'd love to hear your feedback!<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Holidays!!! <br />
<br />
<br />Justinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10539370000783218788noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-991299406423573520.post-80487387215832459972012-11-21T10:20:00.002-08:002012-11-21T10:20:54.777-08:00Less Buffaloes, More Sabres!Another quick concept today. Am I the only one sick of the Sabres using buffaloes as their mascot? It's their city name not their team name! Here's my solution.<br />
<br />
Buffalo Sabres<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiErn1fdK8wXQ2uxQrvAtBTuevWoOyiTIWTjLASivJFgW558hgBtK2VS00tOpGfZNiv7ERgKIkh3rcPCyY67ba5qUg5IJcA0CxiihhGO4h-HPOS7QqH4k6gSFiXtguPtm9jiK1XmAt1OCzw/s1600/Sabres_JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="366" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiErn1fdK8wXQ2uxQrvAtBTuevWoOyiTIWTjLASivJFgW558hgBtK2VS00tOpGfZNiv7ERgKIkh3rcPCyY67ba5qUg5IJcA0CxiihhGO4h-HPOS7QqH4k6gSFiXtguPtm9jiK1XmAt1OCzw/s640/Sabres_JustinCox.png" width="640" /></a> </div>
We've all seen this logo mashup before. I did my own, similar version putting more emphasis on the sabres and less on the buffalo. I also added the crossed swords to the arm stripes and created a more modern look. I'll let the concept do the talking for itself but I'd love to hear your feedback!Justinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10539370000783218788noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-991299406423573520.post-39454911213350052232012-11-19T13:02:00.000-08:002012-11-19T13:02:02.752-08:00Nashville PredatorsHello readers! Long time no post. Been busy with class, work, sports and life! I hope you're all doing well.<br />
<br />
CBA talks are set to resume today. Hopefully these pricks (sorry I'm not their biggest fans right now) can nail out a deal so we can get back to what's most important... HOCKEY! I've been coping with the lockout through College and CHL hockey. I've been to a few Cutthroats games and go to CC Tigers games quite often. Most recently, the CC vs. DU series which is always insane!<br />
<br />
I apologize for the lack of posts lately. Classes for me have been getting crazy and when I'm not doing that I'm working or out doing stuff. I want to sit down more often and make more concepts but whenever I get some free time I either have a lack of interest or ideas. I did, however, just get a new macbook! I love it but I'm still getting use to the mac after switching from PC and also getting the hang of Adobe CS6.<br />
<br />
Enough talk, lets get to the concept!<br />
<br />
Nashville Predators<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQoGpxwp8J2vYJ3dwmf0MjqN1asaM55Z6JXLVruQhQEQfTzywFjhlfOH22SuNTtzYtvxdf0fMaPc4susH3R4iPCJii8C0nvMUaevwEt8iLEns4UT8X4DBjjcDVcFR6ldvoi12Q1Xl8N-o-/s1600/NashvillePredators(FullSet)_JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="540" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQoGpxwp8J2vYJ3dwmf0MjqN1asaM55Z6JXLVruQhQEQfTzywFjhlfOH22SuNTtzYtvxdf0fMaPc4susH3R4iPCJii8C0nvMUaevwEt8iLEns4UT8X4DBjjcDVcFR6ldvoi12Q1Xl8N-o-/s640/NashvillePredators(FullSet)_JustinCox.png" width="640" /></a></div>
This is a sort of mixing of eras. I was never a fan of the Preds original jerseys until I saw a few concepts, one by Steven G. and the other on CCSL. Both concepts did a great job of putting that unique template into gold and blue. This concept is largely inspired by, and similar to Steven's. I wanted to use that unique arm striping in a more simplistic way while still showing off that awesome gold/yellow jersey! I also made a nod to the previous alternate jersey by placing a sublimated checkerboard pattern on the hems and cuffs. The rest is pretty self explanatory but I'd love to know what y'all thought!<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by and I'd like to wish my American readers a Happy Thanksgiving this Thursday!Justinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10539370000783218788noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-991299406423573520.post-2413858893100876692012-10-30T15:08:00.000-07:002012-10-30T15:08:01.466-07:00San Jose Sharks Re-DesignHello everyone! I hope all is doing well and everyone on the East coast is staying safe from Hurricane Sandy. Let's get right to the concept.<br />
<br />
San Jose Sharks<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9wnCEIpYwn_Iqdj9r43qIa_GbN9VpZUKT1MWPqiHWgpami46rhi8fDV6YLP3tXEVS7ew2lmupMCri_ZxkEYFPdS51e2wX69zgHCU593CHY1sDmevjBzCV7snqXFNhSHncqjHq9cV7BpCa/s1600/SJSharks-JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9wnCEIpYwn_Iqdj9r43qIa_GbN9VpZUKT1MWPqiHWgpami46rhi8fDV6YLP3tXEVS7ew2lmupMCri_ZxkEYFPdS51e2wX69zgHCU593CHY1sDmevjBzCV7snqXFNhSHncqjHq9cV7BpCa/s640/SJSharks-JustinCox.png" width="562" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've always been a big fan of all of San Jose's uniforms. Their colors and logos are great and they've always had pretty nice designs. My absolute favorites though, have always been their jerseys from <a href="http://www.nhluniforms.com/Sharks/Sharks03.html" target="_blank">1998-2007</a>. Basically my main purpose was to replicate those in a new, unique way. If you haven't noticed I'm a big fan of traditional jersey designs so this design took me a little out of my comfort zone. However I left the traditional look to the third jersey which is basically an updated version of the Sharks current third jersey. This took a lot of different designs, and redesigns but ultimately, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. What do you think? </div>
<br />Justinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10539370000783218788noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-991299406423573520.post-34254562222282517502012-10-21T17:15:00.001-07:002012-10-26T18:23:24.535-07:00An Orange Ducks Third Jersey?Hello everyone. Just a quick concept today.<br />
<br />
Anaheim Ducks<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX7T4aJsikaV0vENtNDKUiFkrdsx9EdpBEegFEbQTZEyQa8RmBJBzbpoYIfj2-oDpPmDsn_1R0S6EcpUy1cR8kmpioGzQBfNgBc_9zMbdIqSPPiFnKdNcap95xPO68ZYUTjmYIvsFtOHdl/s1600/OrangeDucks-JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="350" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX7T4aJsikaV0vENtNDKUiFkrdsx9EdpBEegFEbQTZEyQa8RmBJBzbpoYIfj2-oDpPmDsn_1R0S6EcpUy1cR8kmpioGzQBfNgBc_9zMbdIqSPPiFnKdNcap95xPO68ZYUTjmYIvsFtOHdl/s640/OrangeDucks-JustinCox.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've always been a fan of bright colored jerseys (yellow, orange, etc.) and thought the Ducks would look cool in an orange jersey. This design is actually based off of the San Francisco Bulls sock design. I just really liked how the gold, white and black stripes looked on orange so I through this together just to get a whole jersey idea. It's quite simple but I think it would be a neat design. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

I hope you're all having a swell weekend and finding all the hockey you can to keep yo'selves entertained! A lot of people lately have been telling me that I need to make a whole Wild set off of my original concept. Well... here's an update to the original concept as well as an away jersey. Ironically as I was creating the road jersey, HJC announced their Wild Re-Design comp. so I guess I'm killing two burds with one stone.<br />
<br />
Minnesota Wild<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhck_X6SEIpnykxLe-bI9iw3Siye21Yx2UlGqhjK2DQ_f-HugfIv29NwRiyZYE72xMtt9an9lxHQHbcByYHjNa2I-eMXUnAOPsnvZEgQ58C6fPKP1SMIdQJx9m0ML0K5teAY3G2Xa83mCDL/s1600/MinnesotaWild-JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="550" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhck_X6SEIpnykxLe-bI9iw3Siye21Yx2UlGqhjK2DQ_f-HugfIv29NwRiyZYE72xMtt9an9lxHQHbcByYHjNa2I-eMXUnAOPsnvZEgQ58C6fPKP1SMIdQJx9m0ML0K5teAY3G2Xa83mCDL/s640/MinnesotaWild-JustinCox.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Pretty straight forward here. I turned the basic original design into an away version. I chose to use a cream base because I wanted to eliminate white, COMPLETELY from the Wild's color scheme and I just think the cream and green compliment each other very well. At the same time I wanted to make the design unique and I believe the yokes, striping, colors, font do just that. I was going to make a third jersey but I think both their current home and alternate would make a good one so I just decided leave it a home/away set. What do you think? Would you like to see Parise and Suter (hopefully soon!) making their Minnesota debuts in threads like these?Justinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10539370000783218788noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-991299406423573520.post-6251285243510170092012-10-06T12:24:00.000-07:002012-10-06T12:24:23.430-07:00Blackhawks UpdatesHappy Saturday everyone. I've got a few updates to yesterdays concepts. First one by me.<br />
<br />
Chicago Blackhawks<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRnKJhC3u2Pfa3CvDo33JkooponF4d12GAG2hpTezS-HEL8LoVTBM9RuI8mHe418WMKwlPLL-RwF7AbxMlbe-HQMMWzvgQ0vLOMz6Hd9rgOpT_bBMv_aKEMkVcrrUMQsTaxs2CEdhIMxEJ/s1600/Blackhawks-JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="368" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRnKJhC3u2Pfa3CvDo33JkooponF4d12GAG2hpTezS-HEL8LoVTBM9RuI8mHe418WMKwlPLL-RwF7AbxMlbe-HQMMWzvgQ0vLOMz6Hd9rgOpT_bBMv_aKEMkVcrrUMQsTaxs2CEdhIMxEJ/s640/Blackhawks-JustinCox.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Scott M.. recommended that I return the TV numbers to their usual position and have the captain patch match the numbers. I also made the cuffs smaller and a few other tiny changes recommended from some CCSL board members. I think I like this version better. What do you think?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now an update from Tyler Gross...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Chicago Blackhawks (Tyler G.)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Tyler G. made a few small changes and replaced the primary logo. I have to say... I love this concept now! Great work, Tyler!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by!</div>

Colorado is getting it's first snow if the season so I decided to spend the night in and get some work done as well as a new concept!<br />
<br />
When you talk about teams needing a new third jersey, the Blackhawks are always in the conversation. They're always a popular topic for concepts as well. Often a new twist on their Winter Classic jersey, a solid retro uni, or something fresh. My concept pokes at a little bit of everything.<br />
<br />
Chicago Blackhawks<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8GTFGPfshbE-dHwGU_Gw8mLJDcmmJQBM_4WGuPdgcWdVTX7dnbg2on2VqpkHR6ndNGnq8TDYh9rCPR3l7tdyevQGAqxzBYDdbywAfiqNFdYInaewGH_p_K_lZ4C-qgX711vR9HskE0XjD/s1600/HawksThird-JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="376" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8GTFGPfshbE-dHwGU_Gw8mLJDcmmJQBM_4WGuPdgcWdVTX7dnbg2on2VqpkHR6ndNGnq8TDYh9rCPR3l7tdyevQGAqxzBYDdbywAfiqNFdYInaewGH_p_K_lZ4C-qgX711vR9HskE0XjD/s640/HawksThird-JustinCox.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The main base of the jersey design is based on the Hawks 2000's black third jersey. Basically a black version of the home/away set. I started off by replacing the classic head logo with the retro circle logo and went from there. I then added the tomahawk alternate logo on top of the arm stripes. This was largely inspired from their 1950's uniforms. I took the concept even further (as well as further outside my comfort zone) and placed the TV numbers on the shoulders, a move I'm still unsure about. The rest is pretty straight forward but I am happy with how it turned out. What do you think?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Tyler Gross also has a few Blackhawks alternate concepts for us.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Chicago Blackhawks (Tyler G.)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0xfFkoBy8RwYqhvHRZmOPxcYYSaVIfWgBhxN4Iuj1lE2d1hkyli7if6rUQUZO6CFVatfkjspKUScZZyfCvSNgStKPJj_FZ-PKrMvbONVRAf09HLggt1sQPLGikfjGNvRxGlCvSlDN18PZ/s1600/Chicago+Blackhawks+Alternate+Jersey+Concept+Tyler+G.2+blurred.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="466" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0xfFkoBy8RwYqhvHRZmOPxcYYSaVIfWgBhxN4Iuj1lE2d1hkyli7if6rUQUZO6CFVatfkjspKUScZZyfCvSNgStKPJj_FZ-PKrMvbONVRAf09HLggt1sQPLGikfjGNvRxGlCvSlDN18PZ/s640/Chicago+Blackhawks+Alternate+Jersey+Concept+Tyler+G.2+blurred.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
At first I wasn't a huge fan of this concept. But... it's really grown on me! The colors, shoulder patches, numbers look great! The only thing that's kind of throwing me off is the primary logo. It does look good here, I just wonder how one of the retro logos would look on here?</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Another black Hawks jersey. (Get it?) Ha anyways this one has grown on me as well. It's clean, classic, and effective. I wouldn't have a problem if Chicago suited up in these. Tremendous execution as well!</div>

<br />
Ottawa Senators<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJzrxf5YjtGtqZciDUYDvCubN4GPLAoMu4PjHxel3CiPx61wIyB2OaFzzlgDrDbiCk041bPfvao7CuBWsLVs9emZJsQxO4FUAwvmOmXFhvHqofaijzgC7WIWxGnptkWzRp2fzhXM7lsR_x/s1600/OttawaSens2.0-JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJzrxf5YjtGtqZciDUYDvCubN4GPLAoMu4PjHxel3CiPx61wIyB2OaFzzlgDrDbiCk041bPfvao7CuBWsLVs9emZJsQxO4FUAwvmOmXFhvHqofaijzgC7WIWxGnptkWzRp2fzhXM7lsR_x/s640/OttawaSens2.0-JustinCox.png" width="490" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A while back I did a Sens concept but looking back I hate it. This is my updated version with some significant changes. The biggest one being the change to black which, as I hear, is what most Ottawa fans want. I also added a third jersey which is basically a red version of their current third. I'm going to let the concept do the rest of the talking but let me know what you think in the comments section below. Thanks!</div>

<br /></div>
Happy Sunday everyone. Unfortunately, no new concept. But I have been working on multiple concepts that I hope to finish soon. However, I recently picked up NHL 13 for PS3 and it has been taking up most of my free time. I just wanted to let you guys know my username so we could play a game sometime if you wanted! Don't worry, you'll probably win, I'm not that good!<br />
<br />
Here is my username, it's for Playstation Network: avsfan_09. (I know, it's lame. I made it like 5 years ago!)<br />
<br />
That's all for now, folks. Have a good weekend!<br />

I was able to get a little more down time and I definitely wasn't going to use it to watch football! I was able to get another concept finished, though. I noticed the popular concept trend seems to be Minnesota Wild. Everyday on HJC there seems to be more and more. So here's my take at a Wild jersey.<br />
<br />
Minnesota Wild<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaNK4j5V6PBnIYABp5qUdbjiGMyxp1maJ2DCvf2qLjK6JwbnCulUEDFovKsbFNlzl7jxUW5bpfzhtG1R5zD0mJcb3D5Ibl6CY1grvdfQ0D5WbEOYhqkeWTMmeYdDhlS9hRo-fhWSfJ1r9f/s1600/Wild-JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="334" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaNK4j5V6PBnIYABp5qUdbjiGMyxp1maJ2DCvf2qLjK6JwbnCulUEDFovKsbFNlzl7jxUW5bpfzhtG1R5zD0mJcb3D5Ibl6CY1grvdfQ0D5WbEOYhqkeWTMmeYdDhlS9hRo-fhWSfJ1r9f/s640/Wild-JustinCox.png" width="640" /></a></div>
The Minnesota Wild need two things...More green...and a good re-design. The Wild, in my opinion have the best logo in the league...and jerseys...not even close. Their three jerseys look nothing alike . They all have completely separate designs, colors, and logos. How can you call that a jersey set? The home jersey is a decent design but the players look like Christmas elves when on the ice. The away jersey is a lazy, Reebok cookie cutter jersey and while the third jersey is beautiful...it needs to stay a third jersey. This concept is aimed to fix those problems. The striping is based off of the third jersey and I wanted to use all four colors in the primary logo. The rest is pretty straight forward. How do you feel about this design?<br />
<br />

I hope you've been good lately. Tonight I have a few Penguins concepts for you from myself and Tyler G. Lets get right to them!<br />
_________________________________________________________________________________<br />
<br />
Pittsburgh Penguins<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjinVeQRRyO6f-JHR-COP360Nyev6G7e1WoKM96UQ0oYu67Y4NAClLzD1Fks7BOtIEGtUAfV1kOYWB_E2RjxMtwmiYiBQEP7ZUvoo8hAZkg4VT4Wd5nAuuWfQp5Akekbcbxb2Rrsk95j_C-/s1600/Penguins-JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="336" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjinVeQRRyO6f-JHR-COP360Nyev6G7e1WoKM96UQ0oYu67Y4NAClLzD1Fks7BOtIEGtUAfV1kOYWB_E2RjxMtwmiYiBQEP7ZUvoo8hAZkg4VT4Wd5nAuuWfQp5Akekbcbxb2Rrsk95j_C-/s640/Penguins-JustinCox.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have to be completely honest with you. I love vegas gold. I just think it looks great with black and white. Very modern and classy as well. HOWEVER... if a city were to have official colors, black and yellow (athletic gold) would be Pittsburgh's. That color scheme represents Pittsburgh's sports identity and the Penguins need to rejoin the club. This is aimed to do just that by combining and modernizing the Lemieux (strong use of athletic gold) era and pre-edge era (angled side stripes) while adding a new, fresh twist to their identity. If you're wondering about the socks, they're based off of Anaheim's alternate socks where the orange comes down from under the pants. The rest of the concept is pretty straight forward. What do you think? </div>
<br />
<br />
Pittsburgh Penguins (Tyler G.)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_Za0YVeM8G4aqOPUMvFQm5Xr-np8iC1hdKkEde2me0Ux1Cv8yUJhAnTZ7lj3gl3v_SKH9YSnXEAam3lJ79SLEotoMecHPCZHQf17mD5yQM4DI5zng4iK3dNvdBUF6QQerldopZ-sU_LOi/s1600/Pittsburgh+Penguins+Redesign+Concepts+Tyler+G..png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_Za0YVeM8G4aqOPUMvFQm5Xr-np8iC1hdKkEde2me0Ux1Cv8yUJhAnTZ7lj3gl3v_SKH9YSnXEAam3lJ79SLEotoMecHPCZHQf17mD5yQM4DI5zng4iK3dNvdBUF6QQerldopZ-sU_LOi/s640/Pittsburgh+Penguins+Redesign+Concepts+Tyler+G..png" width="590" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Tyler takes the Penguins even farther back and bases this set off of their original jerseys and 2011 Winter Classic jersey. I like these a lot and a vintage white version would be sweet. However I think the main striping color on the road jersey should be dark blue with poweder blue used as the thinner stripes. The same goes with the NOB and numbers. Then again... I'm kind of starting to like the light blue on vintage white. Great execution though, as usual from Tyler.</div>

Thanks for stopping by for a quick Saturday post. Let Tyler and I know what you think in the comments section below. Have a great rest of your weekends!</div>

I was not only ab;e to get some much needed free time today but I felt like working on a concept and small post! I want to thank everyone for sending in concepts and emails, I just can't find the time right now to respond, or post the concepts. Sorry! I will soon though... I promise. My schedule will definitely clear up in October which means I will be able to devote more time to concepts and the site. Let's get to today's concept...my entry for the HJC "Make the Burger King Logo Look Better" (or something like that) contest.<br />
<br />
Los Angeles Kings<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBgc-7zTgJ5XLzuvGQ3bVLzn3DS6jZ0xArqrfjt-wRC7lXJmsL3Ugg0_o6nXxrjNc7ewVmXzKrkHOY9qhnUxWF3qmfB8hnxwLlqAGRx1u2W-sIOiNSz6-MrBngMJwgaqmXrACDDVLiCqXu/s1600/BKKings-JustinCox.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="338" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBgc-7zTgJ5XLzuvGQ3bVLzn3DS6jZ0xArqrfjt-wRC7lXJmsL3Ugg0_o6nXxrjNc7ewVmXzKrkHOY9qhnUxWF3qmfB8hnxwLlqAGRx1u2W-sIOiNSz6-MrBngMJwgaqmXrACDDVLiCqXu/s640/BKKings-JustinCox.png" width="640" /></a></div>
I've always been a big fan of the Burger King logo but the logo just (obviously) didn't have the jersey to back it up. HJC's newest competition addresses just that and here is my proposal. I wanted to keep it classic and clean while still keeping it unique to Los Angeles and Kings tradition. I also used the design as a way to reincorporate purple back into the color scheme. That included using it as the base color and changing it to royal purple, which I think represents "Kings" better. The shoulder patch is meant to combine the Gretzky era with the current ear but I was unable to get the colors and format exactly as I wanted. Overall, I'm really happy with how it turned out and I wouldn't mind seeing the Kings add something like this to their current set. As always feedback is greatly appreciated.<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!Justinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10539370000783218788noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-991299406423573520.post-13459199248926639492012-09-09T10:20:00.000-07:002012-09-09T10:20:20.853-07:00Expansion Contest: The Winner is...Hello everyone and a Happy Sunday to you all! Sorry I haven't posted here in a while I've been caught up things. Every day I think to myself, "I want/need to make some new concepts or write a new blog post." but when I actually find the time to do it, sitting on my computer is the last thing I want to do. A lot of you have sent me emails with concepts, requests, etc. and I have gotten your emails, I just haven't had the time to respond. I will soon enough!<br />
<br />
I also want to apologize for taking such a long time to get the results of the Expansion Contest but I have the winner for you today!<br />
<br />
I would also like to take a moment to thank everyone for participating in this contest. Whether that meant submitting entries, voting, or just stopping by to take a look, we appreciate it!<br />
<br />
Now time for the big news... The 2012 NHL Expansion Contest winner is....<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Congratulations to Ryan, of HJC, on winning and and even bigger congratulations to him for becoming a new father. As a prize for winning the contest Ryan can now send in as many concepts as he wishes to be featured on the site. (Although I think we're all familiar with his work!). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks again to everyone that participated! Once I get some more free time I'll run another contest but that's not even a possibility for me right now. I'm also going to try to get some sort of post up tonight or tomorrow but we all know how many times I've said that so don't hold your breath.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend, everybody!</div>
