New York Islanders: New City, New Look

Hello everybody! I've been starting to get back in the groove of things and making more concepts. Here is a New York Islanders concept.

New York Islanders
I think the Isles' move to Brooklyn in 2015 would be the perfect chance to update their identity. I created a more modern, sleek look here for them. I slightly updated their color palate and created a few new logos for them. The primary honors both their city and team by featuring the Brooklyn Bridge and a lighthouse. The alternate is a nod at the past, with the use of an update 'NY' logo. All in all, I really just wanted to update, and modernize their look. what do you think?

  1. I like how you straighten the Demonized font on the numbers. Very clever.

  2. Beautiful design.. Love the second shield, however they wont have any traction or new fans in Brooklyn until they take the name of their city. "Brooklyn"
They will just be seen as tenants renting the Brooklyn Nets building.

  3. PERFECTION! I hate the Islanders, but if they ever rolled this out as an alternate, I would definitely buy it! Great work as always Justin!

  5. Great, but not sure about the powder blue end having two different shields. But a great use of orange, definitely.

  6. I really hope the Isles do something like this. This is one of the better Islanders concepts I've ever seen.

I agree with Stephane about the two shields though. Maybe if this is a home jersey you make a white based off of this, and make an alternate with the second shield. I love it though, it's kind of got this soccer logo feel to it as well...
